After a glance at the tube you want to change, you can find exactly the item you need by looking through our clearly arranged product categories. The most important criterion to consider when buying fluorescent tubes in the online LTT shop is the appropriate socket. Though perhaps a little misleading, this is the term used to describe the component on the illuminant itself that locks it into the lamp fitting. Depending on the type of lamp, the socket can be screwed, turned or plugged into it. Clearly, both the socket and the fitting have to match – especially as they provide not only the mechanical connection, but also the power supply.

Find the right socket with just a few clicks

You will immediately notice that the vast majority of fluorescent tubes here have sockets with the designation G5 or G13. The abbreviation G indicates that these are plug-in or pin sockets, which, unlike the E-sockets of classic light bulbs, are not screwed or twisted in, but lock into a plug-in connection. The numbers indicate the distance between the pins, which are always arranged in pairs – just under 5mm for the G5 and approx. 13mm for the G13. Once you have decided on the right socket, you still have many other options. For example, the manufacturer, the length and diameter of the fluorescent tubes, and their input power in watts.
