Surface-mounted lights of conventional design are, for example, the wall or ceiling spots of the make NUMINOS® in the shape of a so-called pendant lamp. The actual LED light is connected to the central mounting and power supply using a rotating arm. The biggest advantage of this design – and therefore of most of the surface-mounted lights in our product range – is obvious: The light source can be rotated variably or tilted at a specific angle, almost like a PAR spotlight, so that you can use it specifically to illuminate dark corners or furniture items. With recessed spots this is difficult or even impossible. On the other hand, they are inconspicuous and more discreet than surface-mounted lights, but whether the light sources themselves should be clearly visible or blend into the background is a decision that you can make freely.
